The Author

I love to express myself in a variety of ways, mainly through my drawings, my music, my pictures, and finally my blog. I have an eye for art and photography but am no where near a professional. Although I am generally very loud in nature, I am horrible in expressing myself verbally. Most of the times, you will hear me scream out words such as "really?!", "are you serious?", "oh my god!", "ahhhh...", "crap!"... and become speechless afterwards. For the people who know me well, they realise that I can rarely speak coherently. For some reason, my sentences are never connected. They reckon that my brain is a tat slower. Thus, I decided to start a blog, where I can have all the time in the world to think about how I can express myself in a logical way so that others will understand me.

I have a deep passion for God, His people and the Great commission. Having grown up in a Christian family all my life, I took "religion" for granted. I knew who God was, and I knew what I could or couldn't do. But I never had a personal relationship with God until 2006. And for that, I now know that I am saved by grace alone.

A little bit more about me, I am currently studying to become a social worker. I used to have an idealistic thinking, as the song goes "change the world, make it a better place". However, my dreams were crushed when I started my first year of Uni. But I still have big dreams, taking baby steps, I hope to make the little changes that I can. I have a dream to set up my social enterprise. But this is still a dream, whether it comes into reality, only God knows.

My inspirations come from my favourite bloggers including Karen Cheng, Metro dad (one of the rare male bloggers), Hunnybunz and of cause my dear older sister, Ailing. Honestly, working in this field of social work, I see brokenness everywhere I go. Coming home, laying on the couch, listening to John Mayer and reading these blogs remind me that there are still happy people in this world. Other reads include Girls, God and the Good life, and lifestyle blogs such as Whine & dine, Fashion Nation and My look book (Ps: the links are available through "her links")

Why The Third Place? My blog is literally the third place where I am able to share my thoughts, emotions, sudden inspirations and random ideas. First, would be God, and second are my loved ones.
